We are pleased to announce the launch of our newest clients website: ArnhemGroup.com. ArnhemGroup.com manufactures all-natural flavor enhancers for the food and beverage industry. Their primary products include Oh So Sweet - a sugar alternative made with citrus extract which is 1000 times sweeter than sugar and Flavex Technologies. This site was built using Joomla 1.5, Article Attachments, SerrBiz Forms LT, and sh404. In just a few days Google has cached most of it's pages and they should start enjoying a better SERP as they execute upon our custom SEO strategies and comprehensive emarketing plan.
Serr.biz has released a new version of Forms LT. Many of you have downloaded this component for Joomla 1.0, and we assume, enjoyed and are using successsfully. However, we also know there were some bugs. Since we have moved on to Joomla 1.5, we have not corrected any of those bugs for the J 1.0 version.
However, the new version which works in LEGACY MODE of Joomla 1.5, has had the bugs corrected, plus, we added a new function to the LEAD DATA control panel. You can now DELETE the LEADS you no longer need.
Additionally, we are working on a module function, as well as integration with Constant Contact. How cool will that be? Those functions are still in development. But, for now, the component has been debugged and is ready to use in Joomla 1.5.
To cover our costs of development, we are releasing Forms LT Legacy as commercial component. Each purchase will help fund the next version.

Last week we helped HelpMerchants.com convert from X-cart to Joomla 1.5 and Virtuemart. Specifically, we built a Joomla 1.5 template based on their existing design, but made it with flexible module positions for the logo and header messages, flash banner, etc. This format allows them to more easily maintain their new site as well as develop additional sites as they needed them for related business. Had they stayed with X-cart, not only would they have to buy a new license for each variation of X-cart, they would suffer the usual limitations of working with a system designed primarily as a shopping cart. We have updated Forms LT to work in Joomla 1.5 Legacy mode. In the process, we debugged a few issues and added a DELETE function on the LEAD DATA pages. Now, you can delete individual leads that are dead, or you simply do not need or want anymore. This is a commercial release.

We are very pleased and proud that Obama has taken office today. But media hype and correlations to Lincoln, MLK, FDR and JKF aside, we feel the bail out has been a complete disaster. This of course is not his fault, but he has promised change and to listen to the people, so, we put up a new site called BailMeOutObama.com. Joomla 1.5 provides substantially improved SEF capabilities by creating SEFs based on the title alias of the menu items, categories, content items. *Section titles / alias, seem to be ignored when creating SEFs. Instead, the menu item title /alias is used.
This is a clear improvement, but there are still duplicate conent issues.
Since the release of Joomla 1.5, we have wanted to find time to convert Serr.biz. This weekend, we did so. Finally!
Overall, the process went fairly smoothly with the usual types of issues you would expect when converting data from one platform to another. In fact, the process was relatively easy with the "conversion" tools provided during the intitial install.
